DAY 1 – AIRPORT/MIRISSA

Your chauffeur/guide from Barefoot Lanka Holidays will meet and greet you upon your arrival. You will then be transferred to your chosen accommodation in Mirissa. Rest and recover after your flight, preparing for the amazing journey ahead.

DAY 2 – MIRISSA

After breakfast, set off on a memorable whale-watching excursion. Witness the magnificent blue whales rising to the surface to catch a breath and gliding past you. If you’re lucky, you may also be able to see humpback whales and fin whales. After the excursion, return to the hotel and spend the rest of the day leisurely.

DAY 3 – MIRISSA/YALA

After breakfast, transfer to Yala. In the afternoon, hop on a jeep and take the rugged roads of the Yala National Park to experience an unforgettable wildlife safari. Spot the endangered Sri Lankan leopard, wild elephants, water buffaloes, colourful peacocks, and many other species of animals.

DAY 4 – YALA/HAPUTALE

After breakfast, transfer to Haputale. En route stop at the milky white Diyaluma Falls for some snapshots. Proceed to Haputale, where you will spend the night in the hill country surrounded by lush green tea plantations.

DAY 5 – HAPUTALE/KANDY

Rise early and take an amazing drive through tea plantations to reach Lipton’s Seat. Be enthralled by the glorious sunrise and capture some amazing pictures of the stunning scenery. Return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, transfer to Kandy. In the evening, visit the Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha) and witness a cultural show performed by colourful traditional dancers.

DAY 6 – KANDY/NEGOMBO

After breakfast, transfer to Negombo. En route, visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. These orphaned elephants are taken in for a river bath twice daily by their human foster fathers. Interact with these gentle giants during their regulated bathing sessions and bottle feed the little jumbos. Proceed to Negombo. Evening rest and relax on the Negombo beach while you recall all the beautiful memories of your holiday in Sri Lanka.

DAY 7 – NEGOMBO/AIRPORT

Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport – End of Tour.
